Welcome to the Open Creative House x SHINE! event in Keilaniemi, Espoo on 29.11.2023 at 13.00–22.00!

Open Creative House, a hub for the music, AV and games industries, is organising an international networking event for the creative industries in cooperation with Business Finland and Creative Finland's SHINE! community.

WHAT'S HAPPENING?

The day starts at 13.00, and will consist of pitch sessions, presentations by creative companies and organisations, inspiring international panels and free networking in the Open Creative House's diverse spaces.

From 18.00-22.00, the event will culminate in delicious catering, including an evening of talented emerging artists.

Finnish game studio Remedy's Alan Wake 2 is the gaming industry's latest blockbuster. It has received rave reviews in international media and is currently nominated for Best Game at the Oscars in The Games Awards, among seven other categories.

Alan Wake 2 is a prime example of a successful collaboration between the music, AV and games industries of the future. The game's impressive musical content was created in collaboration with top music artists and producers using the song-camp method used in pop productions. Traditionally, games companies have also been largely responsible for music production. The in-game band will be played by Poets of the Fall, the band that originally pioneered the Max Payne collaboration.

Open Creative House is a music, AV and games hub for a new generation of creators and companies in Keilaniemi, Espoo. Co-produced with Business Finland and Creative Finland, Open Creative House x SHINE! will unveil more international growth stories that cross industry boundaries. The event will feature networking, pitches and panel discussions from creative industry players and an evening of emerging artists.

Panel discussions will focus on the growth potential of multi-disciplinarity and pioneering experiences. Examples of collaborations that have led to global success include Alan Wake 2 creator's Remedy's lead sound designer Ville Sorsa, Poets of the Fall guitarist Olli Tukiainen, game composer Petri Alanko and Fried Music CEO Riku Salomaa. The day will bring together more than 240 creative professionals.

Pitches are an important part of the day's programme. Instead of pitching to funders, companies and professionals will pitch to each other to find new partners in different sectors.

Creative Finland will select pitchers from among the applicants, with a focus on those with interesting opportunities to expand their productions and business in a cross-sectoral way.
